Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Dowd Backman, 80, of Gaston passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 13, 2022 at State Full Gospel Cemetery, 156 State Pond Road, Gaston, S. C. 29053.
Ms. Backman was born in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Harry Willie Dowd and the late Annie Vera (Sightler) Dowd.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Backman (Vickie Ellisor) and a number of nieces and nephews. Ms. Backman was predeceased by 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Attn: St. Jude at Work, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
