Dan Porter Reed

Dan Porter Reed, 72, of Orangeburg, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, 11434 Highway 178, North, SC 29112. Dan was predeceased by his parents, James Carlton and Lurlene Reed of Neeses, SC and a brother Wiley Dempsey Reed.He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Glen Carlton and Patsy Reed of West Columbia who loved him dearly.Dan will also be missed by his nephew Richard Reed and his niece Michelle Hook and their families that spent a lot of time with him.He is also survived by nephews Zane Reed and Dave Reed. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Orangeburg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board for the kindness they showed Dan as he considered them a part of his family also.
