Dolores Hilton Bunch

Dolores Hilton Bunch, 81, of Bamberg, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Bamberg First Baptist Church, 11823 Heritage Highway, Bamberg, SC 29003 with Dr. Brad Hudson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00AM until 11:00 A.M. one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the South End Cemetery.

Mrs. Bunch was born on November 28, 1943 in Kershaw County, a daughter of the late Laban B. Hilton and Thelma Catoe Hilton. She was a loving grandmother, DeeDee. She graduated from Bamberg High School in 1961 and Columbia Hospital School of Nursing in 1964, she worked many years as a nurse and retired as a school nurse from Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School. Her hobbies included golf, bridge and other card games with her lady friends, gardening, walking and flowers. Her greatest joy was having her grandchildren and their friends visit her pool. She also loved bringing her mac & cheese to the family festivities.

Survivors include her daughter, Candice Bunch (Brian) Darnell; five grandchildren, Trey Bunch, Cameron Bunch, Lauren (Jack) Price, Lindsey (C J) Sutcliff, and Keith Darnell; and four great grandchildren J. P. Price, Lilli Price, Collin Price, and Laynna Sutcliff; sister in laws and brother in laws, Ginger Bunch, Sallye Bunch, Reba Hilton Cornwell, Sheryl (George) Benton and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Randall Bunch, son John Randall Bunch, Jr., grandson Harper Bunch, brothers, Buddy Hilton, special brother in laws, Ronald Bunch and Allen Bunch.
