James Edward Baughman

James Edward Baughman, 50, of Neeses, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Culler McAlhany Funeral Home in North.

James was one of a kind. If you knew him, you knew that once he started talking, you were in for a conversation and getting a word in wasn't always easy. He loved to tell stories, share his opinions, and connect with everyone he met. Behind all those words was a man with an enormous heart who always meant well and would do what he could to help others.

He took pride in working hard. He also had a passion of finding value in things where others saw none. He was a proud Clemson fan that would cheer on the tigers.

Above all, he will be remembered for his generous spirit, his unforgettable personality, and the love he had for his family and friends. His stories, laughter, and big heart will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Survivors include his daughters, Melinda Baughman (Gavin Luker) and Mallory Baughman (Jacob Sturkie); grandchildren, Chase Luker and Grace-Ann Luker; and a brother, Jeffery Baughman (Deloris Hutto), a sister, Karen (Keith) Hoover and brother, Michael Driggers and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Jimmy Baughman; mother, Gearlean Roberts Chavis; a daughter, Christian "Chrissy" Baughman and a nephew, Devan Hutto.
