Jimmie Lewis Pound, Sr.

Jimmie L. Pound, Sr., 87, of Gaston, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, January 24, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Gaston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at First Baptist Church of Gaston. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his children, Suzanne (Johnny) Gregory, Sharon (Fred T.) Brant and Jimmie L. (Claudea) Pound, Jr.; grandchildren, Kelli (Ryan) Wilson, Kristi (Stephen) Styles, John Gregory, Brittany (Keegan) Saylor, Tyler (Brittany) Brant, Jordyn (Brennon) Snow, Noah Pound, Jonah Pound and Jack Pound; 9 great grandchildren; a step-daughter, Heather and her children, Caleb and Tanner; and his first wife, Betty Pound. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank Lewis and Lillie Stroman Pound; wife, Karen Pound; and siblings, Donald Pound, Ann Jumper and Gloria Jean Pound.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gaston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gaston.
