Jimmy Leroy Bookhart

Jimmy Leroy Bookhart, 67, of North, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home.Burial will be in Springfield Cemetery. Mr. Bookhart was born in Marion County, a son of the late Elmer Alton and Hilda McNeil Bookhart.He was retired from W.R. Medlin Company and a member of Springfield Baptist Church.He was also a Navy Veteran. Survivors include his special friend and companion, Viola Peel of Swansea; one son, James E. (Jill) Bookhart of Summerville; two daughters, Marie (Robert) Borauwski of North and Mary Alice (Ray) Medlin of Greenville; one brother, John E. Bookhart of Lexington; four sisters, Betty Bookhart of Orangeburg, Daphene Yannatone of Alabama, Jackie (Kurt) Kirkland of Saluda and Donna (Earl) Berry of Saluda; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Saturday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North and other times at the home of Viola Peel, 695 Sardis Church Road, Swansea.
