Larry J. Spires

Larry J. Spires, 71, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Spires was born in Lexington County, a son of the late Perry L. Spires and the late Sarah Ellen Donahue Spires.

Survivors include his brother, Steve Spires; a sister, Annie Laura (Lamar) Sturkie; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by siblings, Robert L. Spires, Dorris Branch and Sarah Harmon.
