Lillie Ruth Furtick

Lillie Ruth Furtick passed away after battling cancer on December 24, 2025, in West Columbia, SC at age 79.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Trinity Baptist Tabernacle, 1101 Old Sandy Run Road, Gaston, S. C. 29053 with Rev. Leo Senn officiating. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary.

Mrs. Furtick was born in Gaston, SC to Lonnie and Bessie Dowd on March 20,1946. Ruth will always be remembered for her big heart, unwavering faith, amazing cooking and her love for her family. On September 8, 1962, she married Milo Furtick and together they raised 4 children; Jean, Glenda (Donald), Bryan, and Randall (Randy). Ruth and Milo became grandparents to many grandchildren and great-grandparents to even more great-grandchildren. Ruth enjoyed camping and fishing at Santee State Park with her family and was a proud member of Trinity Baptist Tabernacle. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Husband (Milo), son (Bryan) and son-in-law (Carroll). She is survived by 3 children, grandchildren, great-grands and loving family.
