Mabel Patricia Loar, lovingly known as “Pat,” was born on August 12, 1941, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion.
Pat married the love of her life, Eddie Loar, on December 27, 1977. Together they built a life grounded in laughter, loyalty, and deep affection. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend—someone whose presence made every room warmer.
Pat is survived by her devoted husband, Eddie, and her beloved children, Randall Pomana (Eleanor) of McCormick, SC, Greg Pomana (Natalie) of Lexington, NC, and Lonna Durbin (Mike) of Tulsa, OK. She was a proud grandmother to Lynn Langston, Amanda West (Doug) of Edgewood, NM, Nicole Saint of Denver, CO, Erica Pomana of Tupelo, MS, Melinda Gilbert (Bobbie) of Rutherfordton, NC, Sarah Gonzalez of Spartanburg, SC, Courtney Beckham (Sam) of Spartanburg, SC and Allison Reinhardt of Spartanburg, SC
Her love extended across generations to numerous nieces, nephews, great‑grandchildren, and great‑great‑grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Throughout her life, Pat worked in sales, customer service, and home décor—fields where her warm personality, eye for beauty, and natural ability to connect with others shined. She had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and welcomed.
Pat lived life with a vibrant spirit. She loved clothes and always had an eye for style. She enjoyed the excitement of casinos, the peace of the beach, and the simple joy of being surrounded by the people she loved. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren, who brought her endless pride and laughter.
Pat’s life was defined by love—love for her family, love for her home, and love for the moments that made life full. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
