Marion Freeman Culler, 79, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2026, in Knoxville, TN.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Limestone Church, 441 Limestone Rd, Orangeburg, SC 29118. A private viewing will be held for immediate family one hour prior to the funeral service. He will be laid to rest at Limestone Church Cemetery.
Freeman enlisted in the United States Navy during Vietnam in 1966 and proudly served as a Commissaryman Seaman Apprentice (E-2) until his honorable discharge in 1970. His four years of service instilled in him a lifelong discipline and a deep love for his country. After his service, Freeman worked as an electrician for many years helping to build various hospitals and commercial construction projects in the southeast before joining Eastman Kodak where he worked until he retired. After his retirement, Freeman continued to do the things he most loved - electronics, reading, computers, genealogy, tending chickens and guineas much to the delight of his son, model rocketry, crosswords, and above all else helping his friends and neighbors while creating memories with those he loved.
Freeman is survived by a sister, Margene Culler of St. Matthews; a son, Ryan Collins Culler (Lana) of Tennessee; a grandson, Jacob Ryan Culler of Kentucky; a granddaughter, Madelaine Baxley of Alabama; and Deborah Collins Napier, mother of his children and beloved former spouse, of Kentucky. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert Lee Culler, Sr., and Frances Marion Culler.
The family is ordering flowers from Corbett's Flowers in Orangeburg.
Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
