Mark Sheetz

Mark Kennerly Sheetz, 66, of the Canaan Community, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Graveside services with Masonic rites will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 3, 2026 at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, 4977 Cannon Bridge Road, Cope, SC 29038 with Jeremy Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Sunday afternoon at Culler McAlhany Funeral Home in North.

Mark was born in Orangeburg, SC, a son of the late Lt. Col. George F. Sheetz, Sr. and Elizabeth Chandler Sheetz. Mark retired from the South Carolina DOT and was currently the owner/operator of South Fork Farms, II. Mark was a member of Progress Lodge #356 F & A.M., and Omar Shrine Club. He loved being outdoors, tinkering on his many projects and traveling with his family on vacations to the beach and the mountains. Mark’s greatest joy was being “Pop” to his grandchildren, and you could always find him supporting them at all their school and sporting events.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Pam P. Sheetz; children, Chandler (Whitney) Sheetz, Kayse (Jason) Blackmon and Dillon (Shana) Sheetz; grandchildren, Aubrey, Kinley, Kaylee, Colson, Maverick and Drake; brothers, George Frederick (Kathy) Sheetz, Jr and Bruce Stuart Sheetz; his father-in-law, H.L. Proctor and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law Peggy Proctor, along with his brother and best friend, Barry Chandler Sheetz.

Pallbearers will be Chandler Sheetz, Dillon Sheetz, Jason Blackmon, George F. Sheetz, III, Ronnie Weeks, Jonathan Jones and Rob Wingard.
