Melvin Glenn Burroughs

Melvin Glenn Burroughs, 66, of Pelion, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Barrs Cemetery, 171 Shumpert Mill Road, Pelion.

Mr. Burroughs was born in Columbia, SC, a son of the late William Clayton Burroughs and Lessie Lucas Burroughs. He was a very hard worker and was a well known handyman in his community. Melvin was loved by everyone and enjoyed spreading Gods word. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family who he loved spending time with.

Survivors include his siblings, Marsha (Greg) Crane, Robin Brantley, Donna Huneycutt, Billy Sineath, Mary Lynn (Terry) Langley and Carol Powell; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews. He was predeceased by brothers-in-law, Arbie Powell, Dale Brantley and Phil Huneycutt.
