Graveside services for Richard C. Green, 83, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2026 at Riverside Cemetery, North, SC with Ken Jumper officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 15 at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North.
Dr. Green passed away after a short illness on Friday, June 5, 2026. He lived his adult life in Hopkinsville, Ky where he practiced as an optometrist. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, Ky.
Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Deborah Green and Randall McCarty of Raleigh, NC; and his nephew, Joshua L. McCarty of Portland, OR. Dr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Milton M. Green, MD and Velma L. Green.
Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
