Rose Harley Stroman-Morris of North, SC, passed from this life to her eternal home on August 8, 2025. A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, August 10th, at 4:00pm, at North United Methodist Church in North, SC. The casket will be placed in the church from 2:30-4:00pm prior to the service for visitation with family and friends. Burial will follow at Pen Branch Cemetery, 351 Pen Branch Road, North, SC. Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home is assisting.
Pall Bearers are Dwight Gantt, Eric Coggin, Michael Coggin, Gregg Riser, Gary Justice, Dickie Jones, Chuck Smith and Rock Riser.
Rose was born April 6, 1930, the daughter of the late Pink David Harley and Mary Elizabeth Gantt Harley. She married Eric Stroman in 1947, and they were married for 57 years until his death in 2004. They had three children, Michael Stroman, Pam Kemmerlin and Beverly Stroman. Rose retired in 1994 as Plant Manager from Stone Manufacturing in North. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, flowers, talking with her friends, but her greatest loves were God and her family. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts and lives of the many people she touched throughout her life.
Her second marriage was to James Morris of Vance, SC. She is survived by three step-children, Danny Plumley, Terri Carter and Betty Fitzgerald.
Survivors include her children, Michael Stroman of Greenville, SC, Pam Kemmerlin (Roger) of Eutawville, SC and Beverly Stroman of Santee, SC.
Her grandchildren are Tanya Coggin (Mike) of Marietta, SC, Gregg Riser (Kena) of Bowman, SC, Nichole Stroman (Deceased), Erica Summers (Scott) of Cameron, SC, and Jada Stroman of Greenville. SC.
Her great-grandchildren are Eric Coggin (Kaitlyn) of Donalds, SC, Madi Coggin of Greenville, SC, Nate Coggin of Clemson, SC, Keagan Riser James (Dennis) of Bowman, SC, Brooke Riser Garrick (Tommy) of Bowman, SC, Margo Riser of Bowman, SC, Lena Stroman of Greenville, SC, Rock Riser of Bowman, SC, Isabella Summers and Julianna Summers of Cameron, SC.
Her great-great grandchildren are Scottlynn and Silas Coggins of Donalds, SC.
Surviving also is her sister, Chris Hollis of Gaston, SC, and her precious little companion dog, Ginger. She also had many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her church family and many friends. Also, our gratitude is extended to her devoted caregivers, Vera Brown CNA, Tonika Brown and Merrill Smith who lovingly cared for her in her home. Lastly, our thanks go to the Edisto Hospice staff for the loving care they gave.
