Russel Gunter, II

Russel Gunter II, of Sandy Run, South Carolina, passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 41.

Born on April 19, 1985, Russel was the son of Russel and Deborah Gunter. He will be remembered as a loving son, devoted father, cherished brother, beloved uncle, and friend to many.

Russel was especially proud to be the father of his twin sons, Clint and Jacob, who were the joy of his life. He loved attending their sporting events and cheering them on from the sidelines. Being there for his sons and watching them grow was a source of great pride and happiness for him.

Russel enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially riding 4-wheelers, spending time with family, and making memories with the people he loved. He will be remembered for the time he shared with his family and the special place he held in the lives of those closest to him.

Russel is survived by his parents, Russel and Deborah Gunter; his beloved twin sons, Clint and Jacob; his sisters, Whitney Swingle (Bruce), Staci Spires (Steven), and Alexis Favor; his numerous beloved nieces and nephews, who held a special place in his heart; and his beloved companion, Barbara. He also leaves behind extended family and friends who loved him dearly.

Russel's life touched many people, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the memories he created, and the legacy he leaves through his sons, family, and loved ones will continue to live on.

May he rest in peace, knowing he was loved and will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Independent Fellowship of the Living Word, 3595 Highway 6, Lexington, SC 29073 at 1:00 PM on Saturday October 3, 2026. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the church. Graveside services will follow at: Redbank Baptist Church 1357 S. Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29073.
