Samuel “Sammy” Way Fogle, 72, of Swansea, S. C. passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 12, 2026.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Calvary Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Rucker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive family and friends one hour before the service from 2:00 – 3:00 PM in the church.
Sammy was born in Cope, S. C., the son of the late Cecil Fogle and the late Jessie (Wiles) Fogle. He was a loving husband, father, PaPa and son to his parents. Sammy was well known throughout his life and had a large positive impact on the lives of many. He was a member of Calvary Methodist Church and sang in the choir. Sammy was President of Swansea Community Methodist Men which under his leadership hundreds of children were blessed during Christmas in the Swansea and Gaston Communities. Sammy never met a stranger. He loved to talk and was an avid Gamecock fan. Sammy retired from Zeus Industries in Orangeburg. He was an electrician by trade and taught by “Red” Williams.
Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Frances Keadle Fogle; a son, Samuel Clifton (Regina) Fogle of Glen Ridge, New Jersey; a granddaughter, Liza Christine Fogle and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Fogle was predeceased by a brother, Wade Fogle and a sister, Linda Fogle Brown.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Williams, Ferrell Williams, James (Coot) Yon, Clint Yon, Eddie Backman and Joe Riley.
