SWANSEA ~ Sarah Ann Peele Turner, 79, of Swansea, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 2, 2022. Sarah was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Stanley David Turner, and by her parents, Roy Peele and Ollie Estelle Jeffcoat Peele. She is survived by her devoted children, Dee Ann Turner Branham (David), Pam Turner Gilbert (Buddy), Stanley David Turner, Jr. “Butch” (Marlena); her grandchildren, Chase Wessinger (Kate), Jacob Branham (Sloane), Brent Gilbert, Brandon Gilbert, Bradley Turner, Landon Turner, Kaitlyn Branham, and Blease Martin; great-grandchildren, Oliver Wessinger, Millie Wessinger, and Eden Branham; sisters, Betty Peele Gwyn (Barry), Brenda Peele Turner (Charlie); a brother, Dennis Peele (Teresa); and nieces and nephew, Candace Edwards, Matthew Gwyn, Amanda Peele Bunting, and Ashley Peele are left to treasure their “Aunt” Sarah’s memory as well as countless other relatives. Sarah was a graduate of Columbia Commercial College. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church, where until her health declined, she served as pianist. Sarah was the embodiment of hospitality and showed love and warmth to all who entered her home. She was a sharing and giving person, whether sending you home with some of the wonderful food she had prepared, or cuttings from flowers in her garden. A remembrance service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Salem Baptist Church, Hwy. 178, North, S.C. Visitation will be held at 2 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial service for the family will be held at a later date.
