Tommie Chavis

Tommie Chavis, a beloved father and long-time resident of North, SC, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3rd, 2026.

Tommie was predeceased by his father, Haskel Chavis, his mother, Carrie Chavis, and his devoted wife, Mary Thomas Chavis. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Melinda Chavis and Karen Chavis, who stood by his side as he departed this world.

Tommie spent his career as a Manager at Swansea Manufacturing, outside of work, he was a passionate supporter of the "Lady Gamecocks" basketball team. His love for animals was evident through his care for his numerous cats and his loyal guardian cocker spaniel, "Khohl".

As per Tommie's wishes, a private service will be held at a later date to honor and remember his life.
